Technical Project Manager – Engineering and Product Support
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to support Engineering and Product Deployment efforts to join our agile and dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and project management capabilities to drive the successful delivery of complex software projects. You will work closely with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure engineering projects track estimates, actuals, and blockers to ensure on time, within budget, completion and to the highest quality and security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage resource allocation for Ruby on Rails, and iOS/Android engineering teams to successfully execute quarterly and annual product roadmaps, improving daily operations.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Learn our product to an expert level and collaborate with both in-house and contracted engineers.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks and issues, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the development process.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in the Health IT sector is a plus.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) integrations of HL7 over VPN and Smart on FHIR.
- Experience leading a cybersecurity team to earn SOC 2 – Type 2 Compliance, achieve
- Texas RAMP Level 2, and pass independent pentest and vulnerability scans.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, SQL, iOS, and Android development.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
- PMP or other relevant certifications.
