Charlottesville, VA — July 17, 2019 — Locus Health announced today that it has appointed Chuck Cory, former chairman of Global Technology Banking at Morgan Stanley, to its Board of Directors.

The Locus Health remote monitoring platform connects patients and health care providers, allowing them to share vital health information in real-time. Cory will advise the company as it continues its expansion to additional health systems and hospitals across North America.

Cory is an independent advisor and investor with extensive experience in the technology sector, from Silicon Valley to Wall Street. In more than three decades as an investment banker he advised on 300+ successful transactions aggregating in excess of $500B, from IPOs to corporate restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a joint MBA/JD degree from the University of Virginia, and has taught law and business classes at his alma mater.

“Locus Health is addressing an enormous market opportunity in healthcare. The platform can be used to monitor any pediatric or adult population, before hospital admission, or after discharge. Their revenues are doubling year-over-year because their platform is giving hospitals an entirely new way to serve patients. I’m thrilled to be joining this exciting company,” said Cory.

Locus Health’s cloud-based software is HIPAA-compliant and enables clinicians to create customized monitoring for each patient and to extend their involvement outside the four walls of the hospital. Locus utilizes Apple iPads and iPhones and replaces bulky binders of hand-written notes that have traditionally been used to track vital signs outside of the hospital. Locus has been proven to reduce the number of post-discharge ER visits, decrease the length of NICU stays, and lower overall costs for hospitals and insurance providers.

“Bringing on an accomplished banking veteran like Chuck Cory will help Locus Health as we continue our growth in the U.S. and Canada. His vast knowledge of the tech sector is sure to assist us as we diversify beyond our current focus on pediatrics to serve health systems’ entire enterprise needs,” said Locus Health CEO Kirby Farrell.
